For patients and parents
Ortho-k lenses are worn overnight to temporarily reshape the cornea. Many patients see without glasses or daytime contact lenses; results vary, the effect is temporary, and ortho-k is not right for everyone. Only your eye care practitioner can decide if it suits you.

Every lens dispensed by a certified VIPOK doctor is individually shrink-wrapped. Ask to see the original package before you take your lenses home.
Overnight contact lens wear carries risks, including serious eye infection (microbial keratitis) that can cause permanent vision loss. Follow your practitioner's care instructions, keep every follow-up visit, and remove your lenses and call your eye doctor right away if you have pain, redness, discharge, light sensitivity or blurred vision.
